Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.
Rom 12:12

The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.

The 1975

Okay hi. It is only the first week of school and this thought has been constantly running through my head today. So why not put it down on pen and paper right (I mean online).

So I don't have a lot of mainstream bands on my playlist. Just because I never listen to a lot of music in general. But have you ever categorised songs to where, when you are feeling sad, this song fits, happy this song fits, etc.

I THINK. The 1975 SURPASSES ALL THAT.

Sorry for shouting guys, but for real though. I have all versions of most of their songs. Their messages are definitely not godly or in anyway positive. It is mainly superficial. But man oh man. I listen to them when I am not too happy, when I am happy, when I am running.

Let me begin to tell you why I admire them so much. From my shallow appreciation of music, I just am in awe of how their songs have the same sound but it is different at the same time. The best part is they never fit any kind of mould. For instance, "Menswear" has the longest intro ever. And some songs are just so indie-laid-back, some are sad and somewhat mellow, while the others are so pop-rock, or even kind of screamo.

But mainly, I think his voice though. People say he can't sing. You know what they are entitled to their opinions as much as I am to mine. So. I need to say that, his voice is so, different, and somewhat comforting.

Call me a weirdo or a freak. But I think I have an eternal love for the 1975. Sorry. (not) Please, please someone get me passes to see them when they come to Dallas on Nov 25.. If you are reading this, Matt give me tickets?

That's all I have to say.
