#605 Psalm 139

credits

New International Version (NIV)

For the director of music. Of David. A psalm.

1 You have searched me, Lord,
    and you know me.
2 You know when I sit and when I rise;
    you perceive my thoughts from afar.
3 You discern my going out and my lying down;
    you are familiar with all my ways.
4 Before a word is on my tongue
    you, Lord, know it completely.
5 You hem me in behind and before,
    and you lay your hand upon me.
6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me,
    too lofty for me to attain.
7 Where can I go from your Spirit?
    Where can I flee from your presence?
8 If I go up to the heavens, you are there;
    if I make my bed in the depths, you are there.
9 If I rise on the wings of the dawn,
    if I settle on the far side of the sea,
10 even there your hand will guide me,
    your right hand will hold me fast.
11 If I say, “Surely the darkness will hide me
    and the light become night around me,”
12 even the darkness will not be dark to you;
    the night will shine like the day,
    for darkness is as light to you.
13 For you created my inmost being;
    you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
    your works are wonderful,
    I know that full well.
15 My frame was not hidden from you
    when I was made in the secret place,
    when I was woven together in the depths of the earth.
16 Your eyes saw my unformed body;
    all the days ordained for me were written in your book
    before one of them came to be.
17 How precious to me are your thoughts,[a] God!
    How vast is the sum of them!
18 Were I to count them,
    they would outnumber the grains of sand—
    when I awake, I am still with you.
19 If only you, God, would slay the wicked!
    Away from me, you who are bloodthirsty!
20 They speak of you with evil intent;
    your adversaries misuse your name.
21 Do I not hate those who hate you, Lord,
    and abhor those who are in rebellion against you?
22 I have nothing but hatred for them;
    I count them my enemies.
23 Search me, God, and know my heart;
    test me and know my anxious thoughts.
24 See if there is any offensive way in me,
    and lead me in the way everlasting.

#593 The Hebrews 11:1 factor

Photo courtesy of: Spiritual Inspiration
“Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen; it gives us assurance about things we cannot see” (Hebrews 11:1, NLT)

Faith: To know that where you are right now is where you are meant to be.
Faith: In trusting that everything that has happened, the good and the bad, happened for a reason.
Faith: In allowing circumstances to happen and choosing not to be overwhelmed.
Faith: To believe in something you never saw.
Faith: To trust that you are a part of His perfect plan.
Faith: To deliberately choose each day to be grateful, for this life.
Faith: To walk day by day, asking God for His granted strength and peace.

Faith, got some?

#582 Christian Music

No, I don't know what is it with me. But I find Christian guy singers super attractive no matter how ugly they look. But hey! The singer of "Jesus in Disguise", Brandon Heath is a fine looking fellow ay?

Credits;

Watch this, and find out what he has to say. Besides, Mike Chairs "All I Can Do" has also been a blessing to me despite the rather rough week. Anyways. That's it for now. I hope you guys will have a great rest-of-your-weekend!

Much love, may God bless you all so abundantly.

Psalms 55:22
Cast your cares on the Lord and He will sustain you;
He will never let the righteous be shaken.

Sunday, 7 April 2013

A whole new chapter;

I AM TRUSTING, HIM. For the best, in the midst of uncertainties;

Pray hard,
hope for the best.

HEH.

AND, I AM SO IN LOVE WITH CHRIS AUGUST. AIYO. REALLY.

But for real, this spoke to me today:
Did you know that God chose you before the foundations of the earth? Before the worlds were ever formed, He knew you. And, He didn’t create you to be average. He didn’t create you to barely get by. No, He created you to excel! Not only has He chosen you, but He has equipped you with everything you need to live and thrive in this life. He has deposited seeds of greatness inside every person. But in order to tap into those seeds of greatness, you have to believe this and act on it.
Too many people today are going around with low self-esteem, feeling inferior like they don’t have what it takes. But that is living a lie. And as long as we have a poor self-image, we’re not going to experience God’s best. In order to be all that God has called us to be, we have to see ourselves as chosen, valuable and victorious.
Today, meditate on this truth. Let it sink down deep into your heart. Let it build confidence and security in you. As you understand your value in the eyes of God, you’ll be empowered to live the life of victory He has prepared for you!

Hope you have been blessed; here's what I am grateful for today:

Psalms 46

1 God is our refuge and strength,
    a help always near in times of great trouble.
2 That’s why we won’t be afraid when the world falls apart,
    when the mountains crumble into the center of the sea,
3     when its waters roar and rage,
    when the mountains shake because of its surging waves.
    Selah

4 There is a river whose streams gladden God’s city,
    the holiest dwelling of the Most High.
5 God is in that city. It will never crumble.
    God will help it when morning dawns.
6 Nations roar; kingdoms crumble.
    God utters his voice; the earth melts.
7 The Lord of heavenly forces is with us!
    The God of Jacob is our place of safety.
    Selah

8 Come, see the Lord’s deeds,
    what devastation he has imposed on the earth—
9     bringing wars to an end in every corner of the world,
    breaking the bow and shattering the spear,
        burning chariots with fire.

10 “That’s enough! Now know that I am God!
    I am exalted among all nations; I am exalted throughout the world!
11 The Lord of heavenly forces is with us!
    The God of Jacob is our place of safety.
    Selah

Adam Young is amazing,

"She is out there. My Cinderella. She is real. She exists. I pray for her constantly. May God satisfy the desires of her heart, draw her close, consume her. May He claim her passions, her identity, her refuge, her hopes, her straegths and weaknesses, every fiber of her being. May she treasure and cherish her Savior more than anything of this world and cling to His will with every ounce of her stamina. By all that she is, does, and strives to be, may He draw near to her and she to Him"
-Adam Young (Owl City)

#485 Distraction & Priorities

Where to next?
In the world we live in today, we find it hard to stay focused on what’s right. We tend to strife for things that will make us “happy”. The latest smartphone, Ipad3 or any other form of entertainment perhaps? This is obvious, as any student you ask today would prefer to go out rather than study. (Even though we are well aware of the fact that studying ensures a brighter future)

But what if the more you got, the more you would want?
I mean we are mere humans and we can never have enough. However, God has changed everything. Even today, we can choose to be contented, to be grateful and count out blessings. The fact that we wake up every morning should make us grateful. Our families and loved ones around us should be considered a blessing too, food that we have, stomachs that do not starve. Everything else. If only we chose to be contented today, everything would be so much different. I mean what’s the point of getting something just to be like someone else? God thinks you’re perfect already. Think you’re not pretty or handsome enough? Didn’t God say we were all fearfully and wonderfully made? He sees the heart, something the world doesn’t. So what if you’re not talented or popular enough? God’s plans for you are perfect nonetheless.
Jeremiah 29:11 11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

So yea, I am on this journey of discovering His plans for me too. Recently, I stumbled upon the part in the Bible where it stated the fruits of the Spirit,
Galatians 5:22 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.
And it woke me up. I cannot blame my situations and the people around me anymore.  We are all called to exercise the fruits of the Spirit no matter what. That is living up to His standards. Loving OTHERS more that yourself. This means, putting their needs, their priorities and their feelings before yours. Yes, it may be scary that God has his standards too. But we need to try before even saying it’s too high.  I think that fulfillment of trying to walk in His ways will make us grateful & contented whether we realize it or not.

Another thing that struck me is this verse (In the latter parts of the chapter) Galatians 5:26 26 Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying each other. This has shown me about the way I live. I mean, I admit sometimes your family can get on you. But the way I react can make a difference. Oh and I’ve been spending too much time thinking about Joe Brooks lately. :/ Yea, till it worries me. I mean, so what if he doesn’t notice my tweet right. Have I put his recognition above everything else? Cause lately, I can’t do anything without relating it to him. Which is embarrassing. Sometimes I even read the Bible but still think about him. GAHH, IKR. I NEED TO SET MY PRIORITIES RIGHT. Again, gotta fix my eyes on the cross. Because forgiveness required His life, and His relationship with God, I need to know that He is more deserving of my thought & imaginations. He is amazing, I mean God. He chose to give forgiveness freely, to anyone who wanted it. That would be like saving up your whole life, to buy a billion Iphones & Ipad3s then distributing it to everyone who came. FOR FREE. Our God is quite cool eh? I think that deserves more energy, than anything else.

I’ve struggled to prioritize God as no. 1 and surrendering everything to Him. Pastor Rose said earlier today ”If we’re questioning God, we are saying that we doubt His plans for us.” And He says His plans are perfect, why am I questioning perfect? What can be more perfect right?

Sorry for the scattered thoughts. Its just that lately I’ve noticed that my devotions has been done out of obligations instead of willingness. Just needed a space to write out my thoughts. We’re all learning you see. :)  Anyways, Church was great today & it gave me a lot to think about. (WE HAD SO MUCH CANDY!)

Till then,
Happy going back to school, lovely readers.
God bless you all!
