Gawai in two days yo

Hello, today is another fairly good day.

I got to see a Kuching face. Went for lunch with Linus today. Parking was a headache but it was worth it. Talking to kuching people again.. Oh, the 400m results are out and the new champ hails from Terengganu. She timed a record breaking time of 54.47 seconds. Congratulations to Siti Nur Afiqah!

If I ran my PB (considering that I can still perform) I would come in 7th. LOL. OHWELL. Now that Kanna, Kah Lin and I are no longer running none of the Selangor runners made it too finals. Ah but they were so close.

To those celebrating, Selamat Ari Gawai in advance.

Till then!

What next?

Twitter is flooded.... with pictures of my best buds heading to SUKMA. I will be praying and hoping for the best for every athlete. It is time to over throne Terengganu and get first guys! Selangor nombor satu selamanya k. Haha, and if you are wondering. Yes I am certain my running days are sort of over, I mean for SUKMA of course. Everyone tries to make me feel better by saying, what will happen if you win a gold medal in SUKMA? It is a coveted achievement for every runner no doubt. But if your chance is gone, life goes on. With or without you - the ugly truth.

So here I am taking some time to thank God for allowing me to run in SUKMA two years ago. (Something I will never regret). I still don't know how I did it, SPM and SUKMA at the same time, but I know He is the reason. Now it is time to move forward, to greater heights. To look back and feel thankful, grateful and blessed. To look forward with optimistic hopes, expectations and excitement.

Remember that Genia.

You are never too old to set another goal or to dream a new dream.

Today, on the 6th of January 1230 am,

5 minutes before I heard the news, I facebook messaged this guy.

MSSM 2012
Now, he's gone.
RIP always, wonderful friend.

May God bless you,
thankyou,
for teaching me to never give up no matter what comes in your way, and no matter how many times you fall down, get back up again. for the times we've talked about stupid people and how you punch them haha, and of course that was silly, you even said it yourself. yet, you are the only one that actually talks to everyone in the group, no matter who, you even once told me not to think of a person so quickly but to get to know him/her first, we may not talk much. But, thank you for all the stories that you told, just to keep me entertained when our SUKSES was over and my dad was running late. Training sessions with you always make me wanna persevere a little harder. Cause there's this guy who never gave up on his dream. You'll always be in our hearts.

you will be dearly missed,
prayers and thoughts to your loved ones.
Selangor will miss you. So will everyone.
SUKMA was the last, with you.

You think you're taller than me, well, you can be taller than me now :)

once a family, always a family

Life is precious, dear God, humble us to live each day as though its our last.
Amen.

Sukan Malaysia XV

So last week, from the 7th to 15th I was given the honour to compete in the Sukan Malaysia. Heh. Known as SUKMA. Honestly didn't take it seriously because I didn't know it was such a big deal. But let me tell you it is a big deal. Hahah, it was the last race for this season. And probably for a long time. But anyway, I roomed with Kahllin, AnnGie, & Savinder. :) It was really free and relaxing, but since we all had events I was pretty nervous throughout. My last event was on the last day. And can you believe I actually did Puan Khairiah's homework to calm my nerves? Well, I did. And studied of course. The meals served were breakfast, lunch and dinner only. GOT SUPER HUNGRY, I wanted eat 24/7 and totally felt like a pig honestly. HEH, but my race was good, for me, even though I didn't earn 12k OR get a gold/record, silver OR that cute elephant. I did my best. And even improved 0.66 from the finals. Considering the electronic timing. All Glory to God, who calmed me alllooooooot.

this is what i'm talking about.
Things I still ponder upon. I don't understand how Chia Jie can look at the time board *picture above* while running. And from there he paced very nicely. I think we both did well. They started training already. For next sukma. But well. I've decided to take one step at a time. SPM first. AND FAMILY.

Everyones been nagging that i'm normally away lately. With Jon leaving so soon I don't want to be away any more. Kinda disappointed he didn't come to see my race, but nevertheless. VERY GRATEFUL to my family, who drove to-and-fro in one day just to see my 1 minute race.

Feeling very blessed..

CF's second last meeting today. Feeling blessed I get to be a part of this years committee. Such a wonderful bunch of people that are there everyday Friday. No matter how bad your week has been. CF makes everything all better and suddenly, you feel so loved by God and friends around. :)

Really was an up point of my week since I felt pretty miserable throughout this week. When I blog, it's cause I feel either too happy or the opposite. Heh. This helps me count my blessings. And to appreciate family & friends that are always there for me. Just a quiet spot for self reflection I guess. Oh wells. Tuition soon.

TILL THEN.

ps/ tmr is gonne be awesome.
