Earlier this evening, Dad said something that upset my sister. No, it was not something as dreadful as her reaction. In fact it was so minor if Dad said it to me, I would have just shrugged it off.
But my baby sister is so used to reacting a certain way. I wouldn't call it a tantrum, but she throws one of these fits and starts grunting/complaining.
Mind you. She does this frequently.
Being the youngest and most spoiled - this kind of behaviour is usually excusable.... except that she has been doing so much of it lately.
So I told her off, told her to start acting like a big girl and speak with words and explain why she was frustrated.
She did not stop immediately, but eventually she grew quiet. Then, she left the room cause my other sister told her to.
About an hour later, she came in telling us she was going to bed already. She apologised and said "Sorry Jie".
Whoaa.
Okay, let me backtrack here and enlighten you a little bit. My baby sister is invincible. The whole too-cute-and-youngest-child-so-I-cant-do-no-wrong thing is really her. Anything she does is forgivable - hence she lacks the need to actually apologise for anything. If I remember correctly, she never apologise unless instructed to do so (or it is really her fault - she can't find a way to avoid the blame). So you see, she's always forgiven quickly.
But today, she apologised. To me. This can only mean one thing - baby girl is finally growing up!
Just had to write sorry, okay bye! :) Have a great Sunday everyone, God bless!

YOU ARE MORE OF A PUBLIC EXTRAVORT AND PRIVATE INTROVERT
In public and at work you are a ball of energy perpetually on the move. You take the initiative, encourage others, hate waiting and are endlessly anticipating what’s going on around you. You take real pleasure in managing everything, much like the conductor of an orchestra. You enjoy being noticed by your work peers and your anxiety is linked more to the thought of leaving others indifferent. You need other’s attention to fully exist, but once you’ve crossed the threshold of your home, it’s another matter. You no longer take initiatives, but leave others to decide in your place. When your partner asks you to make a choice or give an opinion about holiday destinations, dinner menus or the children’s activities, you offer little or no input. You’re not comfortable and don’t know how to react and those around you often interpret your passiveness as a lack of interest or a certain reticence. The reactions of those around you may make you feel the need to revise your behaviour to close the gap between the two poles of your life. People feel that you compensate in one area of life (public), which you have trouble handling on the other side (private). The public over-activity into which you throw yourself prevents you from expressing your emotions and feelings. At work, rationality and efficiency is asked of you, but even there, emotions and feelings are unavoidable. It’s not by denying or pushing them out of your attention that they cease to exist. Instead, by forcing them out of your conscious mind, they govern you unconsciously. Why are you so afraid of your emotions? What are you afraid of finding deep within yourself? This over-investment in public and professional life could well be, to a certain degree, running away from whatever it is that you don’t master or control. You’d win some inner serenity if you accepted to walk the road of self-knowledge.I rarely do quizzes like this. Neither do I post it up. However this time it felt so relevant. Just a self reminder and a little piece of advice to self. Heh. For the extroverts out there, everyone else should know this. No matter how wide we smile, or how happy we look, don't misread what you see. Don't think anything you say won't hurt us. Never think our life's are perfect.
We smile because we want to, we love it. To bring joy and make people happy.
Rest assured, we're human too, hence; you should know we get hurt too. And life is never perfect.
Only God is, now that we have Him, we find strength to forgive those who hurt us.

Days like these,
I hate reading my sister's tweet and actually listening to her speak it like she was next to me.
Watching the world go by from here feels like i've been sidelined. Not a very nice feeling I tell you. Everyone back home are hanging out, finding a new girlfriend/boyf, running for president, and basically just living life... without me. I have never missed home this much either. Every night is a trip back home- I feel like they are actually really there and every morning it's the same thing. I wake up, in a hostel. In a place I can never call home. I don't like feeling this way and I know I cannot live this miserably. But however, I can never stop myself from daydreaming about home. Especially when I know I am heading home in a month's time. Sadly, I also realized that everything will be different back home (I realized this a long time ago). Everyone will be caught up in life. This I am always grateful for family. I can never describe how much I miss every single one of them.
Leaving was sort of a mixed-feelings-kinda decision. Well you see, ever since Kor left nothing was the same. After months of crying and getting over the fact. Everyone lived in routine. But we know nothing will be the same. Leftovers everyday, food untouched, always taking out... it was not a very pleasant change. But things got better I guess. It was just very different for me.. I could feel the emptiness and sadness. This adds to me losing a best dude buddy. #SIGHS. Leaving therefore was sort of like my way out, or a change. I really hope they are all doing fine back home.
I miss my life back home & I wonder if I would be enjoying myself if I lived that life.
But, thanks to God who has never left me. I believe I have been sent here for a reason. God knows why- LITERALLY. I will never regret meeting the people, places I've been too, things I've seen here. Its just that this semester, being separated from everyone, new faces, nothing normal you see. Kind of my low point right now.
